Archie Studio (“Archie”, “we”, “us”) is an independent design studio based in Toronto, Ontario. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in a manner consistent with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.
What the contact form collects
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide, typically your name, email address, and the details of the project or message you send us. We collect this information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and communicate with you about a potential or active project. We do not sell or rent this information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Providing this information is voluntary, but without it we cannot respond to your enquiry.
Email processing (Resend)
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, a third-party email delivery provider acting as our processor. The information you submit passes through Resend solely to deliver your message to us. We choose providers that offer reasonable security safeguards and we limit the data shared to what is needed to deliver the message.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this site so we can improve it. These tools may set cookies and collect technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device, and browser. We enable IP anonymization in Google Analytics, and we do not use these tools to identify you personally.
You can opt out of analytics at any time: most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.
Email consent (CASL)
If we send you a commercial electronic message, we do so on the basis of your request, an existing or potential business relationship, or your express consent. Every commercial message we send identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe. If you ask us to stop, we will stop. We do not add contact-form enquiries to a marketing list without a clear basis to do so.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and project communications only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, to deliver and support a project, to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to maintain ordinary business records. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to the provider's standard retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. We will respond to a verified request within a reasonable time.
